Study Abroad cognates

Experts claim that the number of those seeking education abroad will almost double in the very near future. The educational cognates company Begin Group conducted research that showed that a quarter of Russian parents plan to send their children abroad to study, despite the fact that the cost of studying in foreign schools and universities has increased significantly.

There are no exact statistics on how many Russian schoolchildren and students study abroad in Russia. But according to expert data from travel companies specializing in educational programs, about 30,000 Russians go abroad for education every year. The figure is impressive, isn’t it? So why does it happen? The answer is obvious: the low quality of education in Russian-speaking countries. Diplomas of the majority of Russian universities are not quoted abroad these days, and employers set such requirements to potential employees that an average graduate of a Russian university is simply not able to meet.

Language barriers: the need for a certain level of proficiency in the language of the country where you plan to study;
remoteness from the home country;
problems associated with obtaining a student visa;
Narrow specialization: while in Russia students are trained for a wide profile, abroad they are trained only in one direction, which, in principle, excludes the possibility of further work in another profession;
