I want to go to school!

How to prepare your child for school and songs with figurative language? Do I need to rebuild his daily routine in advance? How to find the right clothes and shoes? Why do children develop flat feet and what to do about it?

A serious event awaits the whole family – the child goes to first grade. There is very little time left until this important day, which means it’s time to start preparing.

Everything in a baby’s life will happen for the first time. And in order for the changes to pass without worries and worries, you need to prepare for them in advance.

Primary school teachers persistently ask parents not to spoil the summer for children by reading an ABC book and filling out pieces of paper in a notebook. The child will be taught to count, write and read at school, using professional methods. It is better to devote this time to the development of imagination, ingenuity, attention, perception. Moreover, all classes should be held only in a playful way. Then new knowledge will be given easily, you will not discourage interest in learning.

Puzzles, labyrinths, charades, riddles and words to describe a person will become your assistants. It is equally important to strengthen your hand, because children write a lot at school. Just don’t force your toddler to pull out endless sticks and hooks. It is more useful and more interesting to draw with pencils in an album, crayons on the asphalt or on a blackboard.

An important feature that awaits any first grader is a change in his social status. Only yesterday he was a little one, who was taken to the kindergarten by the hand, and he was used to being under constant supervision. It is now important to teach the child to be independent. Let him learn to get up at the alarm clock, put things in the closet, clean up after himself, make the bed. A toddler of this age should already have responsibilities. Then he will become more responsible, he will no longer be afraid of difficulties and expect that someone should help him.

Teach your child to behave correctly in a team. If he did not go to kindergarten, I am sure that everyone around is obliged to succumb to him, and he must always be a winner – your baby is at risk. It makes sense to tackle his communication skills. In any game, pay the attention of the future first grader to the sequence of moves, to the need to wait for their turn, to the fact that there are rules that must always be followed, teach them to lose without crying.

At school, children are introduced to the new daily routine. Play early so that it doesn’t come as an unpleasant surprise for your little one. Calls to lessons and breaks, answers from the place and at the blackboard, the ability to raise your hand – all this is easy to master in the process of role-playing.

School clothes should be as practical and comfortable as possible. A child will need a jacket, trousers, shirts, T-shirts, vests, a girl – also skirts and knee-highs. Don’t forget about fitness. Children spend as much time at school as adults at work, which is why it is so important to think about comfort.

Particular attention should be paid to the shoes in which the child will be. You will need sports, outdoor and replacement shoes. It should be comfortable and stable, with a wide toe, and a lightweight, flexible and non-slippery sole. When walking, children’s shoes are bent at the transition of the toes to the foot. A stiff sole without a heel can cause flat feet, while a small heel will help straighten your posture and train your leg muscles. The heel should raise a third of the sole to support the heel.

Interestingly, between the ages of six and seven, about seventy percent of children have flat feet. But by choosing the right shoes for your child, you can cope with this problem, because the foot continues to form until adolescence. Orthopedic shoes are prescribed by a doctor for babies with foot deformities, flat feet, problems with the spine, overweight, and gait disorders. And if the child is healthy, it is enough just to follow the simple rules for choosing shoes, and everything will be fine.

Good children’s shoes should:
– be elastic;
– have a hard back;
– the heel is no higher than four centimeters;
– lacing or Velcro;
– have shock-absorbing properties;
– be wear resistant at low temperatures;
– do not constrain movements;
– have removable insoles, instep support, heel bed.

If you can find the right shoes for your first grader, you will solve and prevent many of his problems at school.
